According to the USGS, the epicenter was located 74 km (46 miles) E of Montagu Island, 80 km (50 miles) NE of Saunders Island, and 129 km (80 miles) ESE of Bristol Island.
There are no people living within 100 km (62 miles).
Tsunami is not expected.
