The winter storm which is actually affecting most of Mexico is a side-effect of El Niño and will last for at least the next day. Meanwhile be patient and enjoy these snow storm pictures and video.
Anomalous snow fell in communities of seven municipalities of the state of Jalisco on March 9, 2016.
Affected populations are in Mezquitic, Tapalpa, Huejúcar, Totatiche, Huejuquilla, Tepatitlán de Morelos and Guerrero Villa.
With three to five centimeters, the amount of snow is not high… But for the region yes.
It is the first snow reported in Guadalaraja, Jalisco, Mexico since 1997.
So far, there are no reports of damage.
But let’s wait until all of this melts.
According to state geologists, streams and rivers are reported at 50% capacity… So there’s still some place available.
Anyway, the state is under alert, especially the northern part of Jalisco.
