Strong Earthquake Reported Southeast As Easter Island

A earthquake with magnitude 6.2 (ml/mb) was reported Southeast of Easter Island (0 miles) on Tuesday. A tsunami warning has not been issued (Does not indicate if a tsunami actually did or will exist). The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km (6 miles) below the earth’s surface. Exact location of earthquake, longitude -101.0192 West, latitude -36.1184 South, depth = 10 km. Global date and time of event UTC/GMT: 19/12/18 / 2018-12-19 01:37:40 / December 19, 2018 @ 1:37 am. All ids that are associated to the event: us2000iuya. Unique identifier: us2000iuya. The temblor was reported at 18:37:40 / 6:37 pm (local time epicenter).
