Magnitude 5 Earthquake Strikes New Zealand

A moderate earthquake with magnitude 5 (ml/mb) was reported 168 km E of Raoul Island, New Zealand (104 miles) on Monday. A tsunami warning has not been issued (Does not indicate if a tsunami actually did or will exist). All ids that are associated to the event: us2000a8ba. Unique identifier: us2000a8ba. Exact location, longitude -176.1948° West, latitude -29.536° South, depth = 35 km. The epicenter of the earthquake was roughly 35 km (22 miles) below the earth’s surface. Date and time of earthquake in UTC/GMT: 15/08/17 / 2017-08-15 05:07:36 / August 15, 2017 @ 5:07 am. The temblor was reported at 17:07:36 / 5:07 pm (local time epicenter).
