A moderate earthquake with magnitude 5.3 (ml/mb) was reported 228 km NE of Neiafu, Tonga (142 miles) on Wednesday. Date and time of earthquake in UTC/GMT: 03/08/17 / 2017-08-03 08:53:30 / August 3, 2017 @ 8:53 am. Unique identifier: us2000a3zr. Ids that are associated to the event: pt17215050, us2000a3zr. Exact location of earthquake, -172.2108° West, -17.4746° South, depth 41.21 km. The earthquake was roughly at a depth of 41.21 km (26 miles).
