Understanding Biblical Prophecy As It Applies To Modern Society

(TRUNEWS) Financial blogger David Haggith thinks the global central banks push toward a cashless society is linked to warnings in Bible prophecy against taking the Mark of the Beast in the end times.

Haggith’s statements were made during an interview with Rick Wiles of TRUNEWS on Tuesday, when asked which direction he saw the global central banks — and emerging super powers — taking the world’s economy in 2016 and 2017.

Rick Wiles proposed during the interview that there are currently three avenues being laid forth by the elite:

  1. The West crashes and the East rises up, becoming the dominant player in the world.
  2. Both sides manage a reset of the global economic system, West gives up prestige in exchange for that concession, while the East assumes the position as a new world superpower and financial center.
  3. World War 3.

Haggith predicted from his analysis that option 2 was most likely and that a single global currency would emerge throughout the globe, with little to no dollar influence as to appease Russia and China who want the US currency dethroned.

Haggith also noted that the argument which will be used is that most purchases are already digital and online, and because they’re being routed and authorized through the internet, are already utilizing a form of electronic currency. He said governments want to go cashless so they can better manage interest rate depressions, and as long as they enact their solution globally and appease as many nations and wealthy aristocrats as possible, it will likely succeed.

When asked by Rick Wiles if this new “Bretton Woods Union” — utilizing a cashless society — would need anymore than one centralized bank to manage the globe’s economic transactions, Haggith said he believes that it would not, and that the direction e-commerce has already gone has built the foundation for the next generation to accept this system and divorce physical cash.

Haggith did not have a timeline for when he believes this cashless society will emerge, but believes it will require a big event to happen to undermine resistance against a formulation of the Mark of the Beast. This resistance he said will likely to come from the older segment of the population.

In the Book of Revelation, God forewarned his people through the Apostle John, that during the Tribulation period the global system will be dictatorially ruled by a single political authority, known as the Antichrist. In Chapter 13 verses 16-17 the Antichrist’s control over the economy is described as absolute: “He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.” Cashless technology and centralized restrictions of transactions fit this warning.

When asked by Rick Wiles if he believes it’s reasonable for this system to emerge during his lifetime, Haggith said he did believe it was possible, and that he could see all the events of Revelation play out before his death.

Rick Wiles of TRUNEWS has previously stated that: “When the calendar flipped over to 2016, the establishment news media in the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Europe, and Australia immediately began chanting the ‘here comes the cashless society’ mantra.  The coordination of the propaganda campaign is glaringly obvious to any astute observer.”
