Canadian Teacher Dumber Than Christian Student, Student Gets Expelled

By Mike Shoesmith
A friend of mine, a fellow Canadian, had to undo his son’s expulsion from school recently. His son, a Christian, was told by his math teacher that he is just an animal and Jesus is a dead Arab guy. When my friend’s son responded with “well I guess Hitler was justified in killing all those pesky Jews then according to this school’s standards since he did it based partially on the justification that they are only ‘animals’.” The school actually thought the boy was threatening to kill Jews.
To this day we aren’t quite sure why they reached that particular conclusion. We prefer to be kind enough to assume a school would actually know the history behind that factual statement. However, since the boy was un-expelled after the father called and explained the historical reference the boy was using it appears the school was actually unaware that Hitler thought the Jews really were animals and treated them as such.
The point? Well, in case you missed it, the teacher felt free to disrespect Jesus, calling Him a dead Arab guy (which is wrong on multiple levels) and yet my friend’s son gets expelled for making an accurate historical reference in defense of his faith. Could it be that he is actually smarter than his teachers?
Christians are now in the minority in the world in this writer’s opinion. By that I mean real Christians. Not the wishy-washy fire insurance types who believe, you know, just in case there really is a hell. And whether he knows it or not, the aforementioned “teacher” is actually fulfilling Bible prophecy!

2 Peter 3:3  ¶Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4  And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Every time I get together with my friend he tells me of his son’s school escapades. He tries to be respectful but it is admittedly difficult for him. The challenge is greater for the boy’s father who spends a lot of time correcting the school’s abuse toward his son. While this is sad it also gives them quality time together, something my friend cherishes.
There are many reasons to rejoice over this sort of thing. The above mentioned Bible prophecy is one. The words of Jesus is another. Let’s close with these:

Matthew 5:10  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
